“Children are the future of the nation. They are the foundation on which a strong, vibrant and dynamic India shall be built” –Shri Pranab Mukherjee.
SET works in collaboration with existing schools by providing financial and material help to support the education of underprivileged students. We sponsor their school fees and provide them with uniforms, stationery and books. We also provide health insurance facility to our children.
If the foundations of India are to be strong, vibrant and dynamic, we need to ensure that every child gets an access to education. But according to the 8th All India Education Survey,2009, drop-out rate of girls is more than boys across all social categories after passing out from primary to secondary school. Bridging this gap is the need of the hour. So we, at Sidhhi Education Trust(SET), have started a campaign ‘Humari Pari, School Chali’ to support girls from economically weaker backgrounds to gain education.
We wish to promote basic life skills and education amongst the underprivileged children and to empower them to build a bright future.
In our upcoming projects, we will also be setting up new pre-schools for children and an old age for the elderly in rurally areas.
Projects
BAL VIKAAS:
The first five years of a child’s life are very crucial for his/her development. That’s why we are planning to set up new balwadis (pre-schools) in rural areas. This will help the kinder-garteners to easily adapt to the school system at academic and social level.
WOMAN EMPOWERMENT
We plan to employ local rural qualified teachers to teach in our balwadis thereby creating job opportunities and empowering women in rural areas.
ASHRAAY:-
We plan to build Old age homes with assisted living facility for the senior citizens in rural areas.
Our organisation has donated 50 Personal Protective Kits (PPE kits), 100 N-95 masks and 100 face shields to doctors and staff of Sion Hospital to protect them from Covid-19.
Our organisation donated household rations to 3 underprivileged families to prevent them from starvation due to lack of labour work during lockdown.
Our organisation supplied 50 packed lunch boxes in the slum area at Santacruz during lockdown.
